“The Club are thrilled to announce Blake Prince as our new Track Manager following the retirement of Wayne Stevens in February 2026. Blake has previously worked for the Club for several years and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role. We are fortunate to have Blake step in early, with Wayne mentoring him until his retirement. We wish Wayne all the best for a well-deserved retirement and extend our heartfelt gratitude for his outstanding commitment and work in making Wingatui one of the best tracks in the South Island.”
Blake Prince said he’s looking forward to returning to the track:
“I’m honoured to be appointed Track Manager at Wingatui. Having spent eight years working alongside Wayne, I know what big shoes I have to fill. My time at Taieri College as Director of Sport has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience back to the racing industry. Track management is such an important part of ensuring the success of racing, and I’m passionate about raising the profile of this unique career path. I’m excited for the challenges and opportunities ahead and to contribute to the continued success of Wingatui.”
